Today marks the end of an era. Last week, Courtney, Mar, and Cynthia, also known as the DC Trifecta Bloggers, announced their intention to end the Friday Five linkup. I’ll admit, I’m a bit disappointed in the decision, though I completely understand why they made the decision. Blogging takes a lot of time, effort, and dedication, so I can only begin to imagine how much time they have needed in order to effectively host this linkup.
I’m incredibly thankful for all of their hard work and effort to make this a successful linkup. This linkup has allowed me to connect with several bloggers who I wouldn’t have otherwise met. Its also provided me with a focus for the majority of my Friday blog posts since I first starting linking up back in February 2014.
In light of this being the final week for the Friday Five linkup I thought it would be fun to take a walk down memory lane and look back at my five favorite Friday Five posts.
I find motivation and inspiration to run from a variety of sources, including my husband as well as other fellow runners.
This post allowed me to reflect on and share many of the reasons that I chose to train for and run my first half marathon.
Until recently, my husband has been my primary running partner. Of course, he now shares that role with our little man.
The Disney World Half Marathon remains my favorite race and favorite race medal to date. Who knows, maybe I’ll have a new favorite race and medal after I run the Wine and Dine Half Marathon next month?
It was fun to take a trip down memory lane and write a post in celebration of our five year wedding anniversary.
Even with the linkup officially coming to an end, I still plan to write some Friday Five posts of my own from time to time. I’m interested to see who else in the blogging world will also continue to write their own Friday Five posts as well.
For the final time, I want to say a huge thank you to the DC Trifecta Bloggers (Courtney from Eat Pray Run DC, Mar from Mar on the Run, and Cynthia from You Signed Up For What?!) for hosting the weekly Friday Five Link Up. Thank you for all of your hard work over the past several years in hosting a very successful linkup.
