My apologies for the late post this morning. Now that its August and I’ll be headed back to school before I know it I’m trying to soak up as much time as I can with little man. That means less blogging in the evenings so that I can spend more time with him and Preston, and doing more of my blogging during nap time. There’s also been a lot going on that’s worth celebrating.
1. Its been an exciting week at home with little man. He’s hit a number of milestones this week, including having his first tooth cut through.2. Just this morning little man said his first word: “Mama.” I’m so proud of him!
3. This summer I surpassed logging 1,000 miles for charity using the Charity Miles app. My current total is actually 1,099 miles, but I didn’t check my Charity Miles profile page until this morning. Still worth celebrating, even if its a bit late.
4. Preparations are well underway for our big trip to Disney World. I’m a planner, and have been working on a packing list for awhile now, as well as a shopping list for Target for once we arrive in Orlando. I’m hopeful that all of this planning will pay off and make for an easier week away from home with little man.
5. This weekend I’ll be increasing my long run distance again. With six weeks until Rock ‘n’ Roll Philly, and my plan to cut back on mileage while we’re on vacation, I know its necessary to get in a solid long run this weekend. My long run two weeks ago was 7 miles, and this weekend I plan to head out for 8.5-9 miles.
QOTD: What are you celebrating this week?
As always, thank you to the DC Trifecta Bloggers (Courtney from Eat Pray Run DC, Mar from Mar on the Run, and Cynthia from You Signed Up For What?!) for hosting the weekly Friday Five Link Up. Be sure to check out their posts as well!
