To say that the past two weeks haven’t gone anywhere close to as planned is an understatement. I’m still in quite a bit of pain from the car accident (but its becoming more bearable and manageable with each new day), and we have no idea yet about the status of my car. One thing is for certain though: everybody’s help, support, and encouragement has been beyond helpful – overwhelming at times. Thank you again everybody for all of your virtual support. I truly feel blessed.
I’m quite proud of the little training that I did do this past week. What I’m most proud of is making it to the gym on Saturday, when I ran 4 slow progressive miles. Despite the obstacles that I’ve faced over the past two weeks, I also managed to meet my January mileage goal. I’ll reflect more on this and my other monthly goals in tomorrow’s blog post, so stay tuned.
I have a follow up appointment with the doctor on Friday, so hopefully I’ll receive clearance to move forward a bit more rigorously with my training. Some of you shared concern about me running on Saturday. Just know that the little training I am doing has been approved by the doctor.

QOTD: How do you emotionally manage unexpected disruptions to your life?
Hang in there, girl! You will get back to where you want to be. I know it’s frustrating, but taking it slow now is going to help you to get on track down the road. Glad you’re ok! Car accidents scare me!
They’re VERY scary!
I love that you’re doing what you can and staying active, doctor approved 🙂 Speedy recovery friend!
Thanks Jill!
