I’m MAD Excited For #NoExcuses 2015

My mantra for my training cycle for Rock ‘n’ Roll Virginia Beach was “no excuses.”  This was the perfect mantra for last summer, especially with how busy Preston and I were with buying our house and then moving into it.  So when I heard about the Sweat Pink #NoExcuses Challenge for 2015, I knew I wanted to jump on board.  My fellow Sweat Pink ambassadors are some of my greatest sources of inspiration, and I cannot wait to work with them to make 2015 my best year of fitness yet.


The challenge officially kicked off yesterday.  And to celebrate the kickoff, we were encouraged to fill out a Mad Lib.  Its been fun reading what everybody has written, so I thought I’d fill out one myself.

  • Hey 2015, it’s me Kathryn.

  • This year I would like to cook more new recipes, do more yoga, and run at least 700 miles.

  • It would also be super duper awesome if I also traveled more this year.  It’s not a resolution, though, just a reminder to myself to try and have the best year yet because life is short and precious.

  • The thing I am looking forward to most this year is running my third runDisney race.

  • I’ll use the one thing that truly gets me out of bed in the morning which is feeling great about making progress towards my goals to help me get up, get moving, and get after my #NoExcuses 2015.

  • Speaking of excuses (ahem), my very favorite excuse is “I’m tired” and I have used it to get out of doing workouts and chores around the house on more than 1,000 occasions.

  • I vow to move my body and be more healthy this year even if it means I have to step outside my comfort zone.

  • Even if my alarm clock gets eaten by the dog in the middle of the night, I’ll still get up and get moving.

  • I will stop blaming my husband for eating the rest of the chips when everyone knows it was really me.

  • My job and the grading that still needs to get done is not the reason I make excuses. I will show my job who’s boss this year and get my run on.

  • I know that training is better than eating ice cream.

  • I will reward myself by enjoying more quality time with my husband.

  • No Excuses 2015 has just begun and already I am imagining myself a winner.  I can’t wait to rock a tank top from Augusta Active.  I can’t wait til my sweaty friends are jealous of how fresh, clean and glowing I am between workouts with help from ShowerPill body wipes.  I can see myself rocking running in new running tights from Actio926 and looking fit and fly while doing it. And of course, I’ll be taking my workouts to the next level and improving my core with my new ActivMotion Bar to help me train for my next half marathon race with Sasquatch Racing.

  • Oh, and let’s not forget how amazing my sports bras will smell during my race after washing with some WIN Detergent.  And lastly, I’ll keep rocking my 2015 with clean eats and nutrition from Beaming with Health.

2015 is going to be an amazing year!  And there’s still time for you to join the #NoExcuses Challenge with Sweat Pink!

    All the “no excuses” had me thinking Wedding Crashers. “No excuses, play like a champion!” It’s a different context in the movie, but put that in real life and balancing everything, it works.

    My big goal/mantra is “stay healthy”. I need to be able to get to the starting line of alot of big races this year!
