Rock ‘n’ Roll Virginia Beach Half Marathon Training Log – Week 15

This past week was full of so many wonderful things, some of them training related, some of them not, but I think the pictures I posted on Instagram this past week pretty well sum up the great week I had!

I kicked off my training week with a speedy tempo run on the treadmill on Tuesday

Total Weekly Mileage – 11.62 miles (14.53 miles less than week 14)

Total Half Marathon Training Mileage – 221.55 miles

This coming week will be another physically challenging week, as I’ll log many more miles than I did this past week.  I foresee my training week looking very similar to what week 14 looked like, the highlight of which will be my last long training run next weekend before I start to taper for Rock ‘n’ Roll Virginia Beach.  As my last long run, I’ll actually be running the Leesburg 20k on Sunday.  Several area bloggers will also be there, so I’m looking forward to catching up with many of them in person.

I cannot wait to accept the challenge that this coming week presents me with, and see how I handle all of my training this week!

  1. Love your pictures- looks like it really was a great week for you! I am training for the RnR half in Vegas and am looking to increase my long run mileage this week! Just going to try to keep my nutrition on point and stay hydrated 🙂

i recognize that wine tasting view — the best!

  3. Great job on your training this week. I can’t believe it’ll be here before we know it. Cool bracelet. Is that the one you won from Werundisney? I want to get one for the race. I think they may give the free paper ones out there.

  4. Great job this week! I love that quote!

Looks like an awesome training week! I’m currently in training for a 10 miler- my longest distance yet- and will be doing a 5.5 mile run this week, which is the longest training run I’ve ever done. So we’ll see how that goes! Still hot as heck in Florida!

  7. My parents live in Leesburg and I love heading out for a run when I am home to visit. Hope you have a great 20K!

  8. You’re doing so great! And what a great week!!! 🙂

  9. Nick says:

Great week, consistency is the biggest thing and you are nailing that 🙂 My biggest challenge will be starting track workouts with a coach…no more telling myself that “I’m running as hard as I can!”

  10. Yay for getting your pace band! You’ve had some great workouts lately – it’s definitely been a strong training cycle for you. Nice job!
