I’ve been keeping a close eye on my total mileage for a couple of weeks now as I’ve edged closer to the 1,000 mile mark. When I set out for my long run on Saturday, I knew that completing all of my planned mileage would push me across the finish line of this milestone. After I finished saving Saturday’s run data to RunKeeper, I checked my e-mail and received this: I’ve been anticipating reaching this milestone for awhile now. Since I started running in March 2013, I’ve run, walked, and ellipticalled over 1,000 miles. And what does reaching this milestone make me want to do? Push myself that much harder! I cannot wait to see what I’m able to push myself to do, and what I’m capable of accomplishing. At this time two years ago, running was far from being a reality. In fact, I had convinced myself that I wasn’t capable of running. Since then, I’ve convinced myself that I can run, and can do whatever I put my mind towards accomplishing. Where will the next 1,000 miles carry me? What races will I run over the next 1,000 miles? Only time will tell, and I cannot wait to see what I accomplish!
QOTD: What milestone did you recently reach?
That is awesome! What an accomplishment 🙂

Congratulations! I just crossed over 1800 miles on my bicycle. It took me 3 years, but my yearly mileage is increasing each year!

Thanks!
awesome! i really have to start tracking my miles! i load up my garmin but that’s about it.
Does your Garmin data not carry over into an easy to use data sorter of some sort?
Kind of with Garmin Connect but it requires me to count all the miles up myself, which I’m too lazy to do! Unless I’m missing a feature which could very well be the case!
Yesssss!! The next 1,000 will be here before you know it!
It seems so far away right now, lol!
Congratulations, lady!! That is such a huge milestone!!
Thanks!
Congrats! That is awesome!

Congrats! That is cool- I don’t log my runs into the same app each time- but I know my Fitbit has me passing the 500 mile mark!
Great work!
How exciting, congrats!
I just ran my 7th half marathon on Saturday, and on my FitBit, I got a total of 35,000 steps that day! That was a big milestone, as my previous high was 22,000!
Way to go Amy! Congrats on both milestones!
