Random Tuesday Thoughts

After receiving my fifth Liebster Award nomination yesterday, my goal was to get my Liebster post written last night and share it with all of you today.  Between a long day at work followed by an evening of house hunting, I finally arrived home after being gone for almost 14 hours.  Not surprisingly, I was far too tired to put the thought into my Liebster post that it deserves.

With that said, here’s some random thoughts for you on this fabulous Tuesday:

1.  House hunting is not as easy as HGTV’s “House Hunters” makes it out to be.

I feel like I'm currently going through my own "House Hunters" episode as Preston and I work through all of the emotions and hard work that is involved in house hunting

I feel like I’m currently going through my own “House Hunters” episode as Preston and I work through all of the emotions and hard work that is involved in house hunting

I knew that house hunting would be tiring, tedious, and time consuming, but I never imagined how exhausted I’d be after a day at work followed by an evening of seeing houses.  Preston and I saw six townhouses after work yesterday (which brings our current total of houses seen to 11), including one that we really liked.  We’re planning to see more houses with our realtor on Saturday morning.

2.  Baby geese are absolutely adorable.

Aren't the babies absolutely adorable?!?

Aren’t the babies absolutely adorable?!?

Last week, a set of goose eggs hatched in the courtyard outside of my classroom at school.  The four baby geese are absolutely adorable, and make for a perfect excuse to distract myself during the school day.

3.  Its Teacher Appreciation Week!

Happy Teacher Appreciation Week to all of my fellow teachers, including my own former teachers.  The world definitely wouldn’t be the same without all of the fellow teachers that I’m honored to call my heroes, mentors, and colleagues.

House hunting is definitely exhausting! I remember that we would just collapse on the couch and be done for the day whenever we got back from a trip with our realtor. And we had to begin writing everything down because the houses all blended together after seeing so many.
