Custom Tutu Giveaway

If you’ve been a reader of From Dancing to Running for awhile now then you may recall that at the Disney World 10k back in January I wore a custom made tutu.  My custom tutu was made by Lesley from Greater Fitness.

I absolutely loved my Minnie Mouse tutu!

I absolutely loved my Minnie Mouse tutu!

Initially, Lesley made tutus as a way to raise money for Girls on the Run.  After reaching her fundraising goal last year and because of the popularity of the tutus, she started a small business and continues to make custom tutus.

Each and every one Lesley’s tutus is custom made.  Because each tutu is hand made, you’re guaranteed to receive a unique tutu.  From the moment I first contacted Lesley last fall about making my Minnie Mouse tutu, Lesley was incredibly easy to work with.  I shared with her my inspiration for my tutu, and she nailed my vision.  When it arrived I was beyond excited about wearing during my first runDisney race.

There's even a hidden Mickey on my tutu!

My tutu may not be the only tutu of Lesley’s that you have seen before.  Heather from Through Heather’s Looking Glass has worn several of Lesley’s custom tutus, including the ones pictured below.  Her Dopey and Ariel tutus were featured in the Orlando Sentinel during Disney World Marathon Weekend.

runDisney races aren’t the only races where wearing tutus are appropriate to wear.  There are numerous other women’s focused races held across the country, and I’ve also seen runners wear tutus at Rock ‘n’ Roll races as well as the Cherry Blossom Ten Mile Run.  The possibilities of where to wear a tutu and who to dress up as are endless!
