Weekly Training Log – Week of March 31st

This past week I focused on a combination of weight training, something I’ve let slip to the wayside for several weeks now, as well as keeping it easy on the running front since I ran the Cherry Blossom Ten Mile Run yesterday morning.  Between that and taking advantage of the gorgeous Spring weather that has finally arrived, and of course running my first ten miler yesterday morning, it was a very productive and successful week.

On Saturday Preston and I took Riley for a nice four mile walk and enjoyed the beautiful weather and scenery on the Mt. Vernon Trail

Congrats on the 10 miler! I’ve heard from several people that it was a beautiful day for the race. I’m definitely planning on enjoying the Spring weather with continuing my afternoon walks during the workday (as long as its not raining) and Saturday we’re planning to go check out the cherry blossom street festival.

  6. Congrats on the 10 miler! Can’t wait to read your race recap!

  7. Great job on your ten miler this weekend. I don’t weight train as much as I should as well, but always feel great after I do. I’m so happy that it’s finally spring time which means more long runs outside and less tredmills:)

You are the 3rd person whose GPS said the course was long. I’m convinced it actually was long.

It was so great meeting you this weekend!
