This past week I focused on a combination of weight training, something I’ve let slip to the wayside for several weeks now, as well as keeping it easy on the running front since I ran the Cherry Blossom Ten Mile Run yesterday morning. Between that and taking advantage of the gorgeous Spring weather that has finally arrived, and of course running my first ten miler yesterday morning, it was a very productive and successful week.

On Saturday Preston and I took Riley for a nice four mile walk and enjoyed the beautiful weather and scenery on the Mt. Vernon Trail
Mon 3/31 – 2.55 mile treadmill run, 0.25 mile cool down walk, kettlebell squat swings, abs, legs, glutes
Tues 4/1 – Rest day
Wed 4/2 – 2.45 mile treadmill run, 0.30 mile cool down walk, abs, chest, shoulders, arms
Thurs 4/3 – Rest day
Fri 4/4 – Rest day
Sat 4/5 – 4.01 mile walk on the Mt. Vernon Trail, 30 minutes of yoga
Sun 4/6 – Cherry Blossom Ten Mile Run (RunKeeper logged my run as 10.13 miles), foam rolling
Total Weekly Mileage – 19.69 miles

Thanks Jessie!
A successful week indeed! It was great meeting you Kathryn!
It was great to meet you as well, Jenny! I’m glad we could share in the “purple corral” start together. 🙂
Great week or workouts! Loved seeing you and Preston yesterday and really looking forward to reading your race recap! 🙂
Thanks Christine! It was great to finally meet you in person!
Congratulations on your first 10-Miler, I can’t wait to read about it!
Thanks Lauren!
Congrats on the 10 miler! I’ve heard from several people that it was a beautiful day for the race. I’m definitely planning on enjoying the Spring weather with continuing my afternoon walks during the workday (as long as its not raining) and Saturday we’re planning to go check out the cherry blossom street festival.
It was an absolutely gorgeous day for the race! I’m hoping the blossoms will be in full bloom this weekend when I’m back downtown for a Team RWB event so that I can fully enjoy them. 🙂
Congrats on the 10 miler! Can’t wait to read your race recap!
Thanks Mindy!
Great job on your ten miler this weekend. I don’t weight train as much as I should as well, but always feel great after I do. I’m so happy that it’s finally spring time which means more long runs outside and less tredmills:)
I’m definitely ready for fewer treadmill runs!
You are the 3rd person whose GPS said the course was long. I’m convinced it actually was long.
It was so great meeting you this weekend!
I don’t know if it was the length of the course or the fact that I did SO MUCH WEAVING! The course was so stinking crowded!
And it was great meeting you as well. 🙂
