30 days from today I will participate in the inaugural Walt Disney World 10K, which is the newest addition to Disney World Marathon weekend. When I first learned about the 10K and found out that the race and medal are Minnie Mouse themed, I knew immediately who I wanted to dress up as for this race – Minnie of course! Thus, the searching on Pinterest for ideas commenced.
Back in September, Heather from Through Heather’s Looking Glass shared her costume for the Tower of Terror 10 Miler, the centerpiece of which was a tutu. I immediately fell in love with Heather’s tutu, and thought about how perfect a tutu would be for me after my years of dancing! As I read her post, I discovered that her tutu was made by fellow blogger Lesley from Greater Fitness, who not only makes tutus but custom designs every tutu that she makes.
I quickly contacted Lesley, and she designed a custom Minnie Mouse tutu for me. When it arrived, I was overjoyed by how perfect it turned out since it fit my vision perfectly.
Do you share my excitement for my tutu? If you’re interested in working with Lesley on a custom tutu of your own please e-mail her at firstname.lastname@example.org. Her tutu prices are as follows:
Adults (ages 13+) -$25
Children (ages 5-12) – $12
Babies (ages newborn-4) – $8
Shipping – $3
From Dancing to Running readers will receive 10% off their order (so make sure you let Lesley know who referred you to her)
Disclosure: I purchased my tutu as part of a fundraiser that Lesley was doing at the time for Girls on the Run. I was not compensated in any way. As always, all opinions are my own.
QOTD: Who would you like to dress up as for an upcoming race?
