My First Long Distance Race

I’ve finished my first 10K, and have the finisher’s medal to prove it!

This morning I completed my first long distance race – the Biggest Loser 10K.  There’s much to report from this race.  For those who have been following the posts today on the Biggest Loser RunWalk Race Series Facebook Page, there’s been a lot of published negativity about this morning’s race.  Its a lot to process at this point, and I’m physically exhausted from the run and the heat that I ran in.  For now, all I want to do is celebrate my accomplishment, and I promise a full race recap will follow soon.

  1. Sounds intriguing…still, great job finishing your first long distance race! Can’t wait to hear the recap!

    • Lots of disorganization and the 10K wound up being half a mile short due to confusion and misdirection. Despite the negatives, it was still also a positive experience, especially interacting with the former contestants that were there.
