After I logged my first 100 miles in two months, I made it my goal to complete another 100 miles in only seven weeks. Today marks the end of that seventh week, and I’m ecstatic to report that I’ve met this goal, and actually logged 2.24 miles more than my goal!

I’m overjoyed to report that I’ve logged over 200 miles since starting my running journey back in March!
My miles since I first started training on March 16th break down as follows:
Running – 122.81 miles (63.71 miles in the past seven weeks)
Walking – 54.57 miles (29.66 miles in the past seven weeks)
Elliptical – 28.22 miles (8.87 miles in the past seven weeks)
Total – 205.60 miles (102.24 miles in the past seven weeks)
Not only is this a week to celebrate because of reaching the 200 mile mark, but this week was also my highest mileage week thus far.
My weekly mileage for this past week breaks down to:
Running – 11.38 miles
Walking – 7.25 miles
Elliptical – 1.74 miles
Total – 20.37 miles
How long will it take to log another 100 training miles? Over the next 100 miles I will have one large obstacle in the way of my training, and that is our planned two week vacation in southern California at the end of July/beginning of August. We also have plans to spend a long weekend with friends in Williamsburg in August. I’d like to say that I’ll keep my training up at its current pace while we’re on vacation, but I also know that’s probably unrealistic with all that we have planned to do while we’re in California. However, I’d still like to challenge myself to log another 100 miles in another seven weeks – the same amount of time it too me this time to log 100 miles. Another 100 miles in this time frame is especially important to me since the teacher back to work week starts on August 26th. This goal may mean that I’ll have to increase my training time when we’re not out of town, and likely have to complete some more two-a-day workouts (I’ve now completed three thus far). But I’m up for the challenge and can’t wait to see my total mileage continue to increase!
