In Wednesday’s post I explained how I’m focusing on positive thinking while dealing with my currently sprained ankle. One of the blogs I follow, My Everyday Power Blog, posted thoughts last week on Winning vs. Losing mindsets. And while many people may look at an injury as a setback and speak from a “Losing” point of view, my current injury continues to leave my optimistic and hopeful for the recovery road ahead of me. Although injuries and other setbacks may leave some athletes wishing that they had never injured themselves in the first place, this week’s injury has me eager to see how this small setback can help propel me forward in my training, specifically, how time off from running and then gradually building my running back up will assist me in getting closer to achieving my running goals.
